White House is a bedroom community close to Interstate 65 just North of Nashville/Davidson County and south of the Kentucky border . White House was incorporated in 1971 and maintains a small town feel while still easily accessible to the big city. The community grew substantially in the 1990's from a small village to a current population of 8,530 residents. The community offers many amenities, including active parks and recreational programs and facilities, varied shopping, restaurants, services, and an outstanding school system. In fact, the White House Schools consistently score substantially above statewide test scores in all subjects. The community comes together periodically for city wide events such as the Fourth of July day-long celebration, the annual Fall Harvest Moon Festival, and the annual Christmas Parade.
